Story Jumper

Story Jumper is a neat Internet site that lets you create your own illustrated picture book.  It gives you lots of options for pictures and words.  (Watch a how-to video.) Besides that, it's fun to use!  Give it a try.  I'd like to know what you think about it.

November 11

Veterans Day is on Friday, November 11, so we'll be sending cards to men and women in the military on Thursday, November 10, to thank them for their service to the United States of America.

Harvest Fest

Everyone's welcome to join us for the celebration!  The meal starts at 5:30 with fun activities before and after the meal.  Students must be accompanied by an adult.  The normal transportation will be available at 4:45 for those students unable to attend the party.  Posters, rubbings, and pumpkins need to go home that night.

Our enrichment that day will be decorating pumpkins.  Each student will create a design with a black marker.  Here's a link to design ideas.  Here's more.

Field Trip

Next Tuesday, November 1, we'll be going to the Horicon Marsh after snack time.  We won't be having homework time that night.  Meadow View will be joining us for the fun.  Mr. Imhoff will be our nature expert on the trip.  Be sure to dress for hiking outdoors.

We'll be watching a marsh video on Monday during our enrichment time to get some background information.
